One month to Live - week 3

This week we looked at our relationships and how we love others around us. This made me think about the relationships in my life.  There are people that I need to tell how much I love them, people that I need to forgive, and people that I need to say thank you to.

The first two are works in progress...

The third though is something that I have been thinking a lot about lately.  You have heard the saying that friends are either a season, a reason or a lifetime... There are so many that fit multiple categories.  But I want to say thank you to the people that fall into the season and reason category.  There are people that have come into my life just when I needed them the most and have left almost just as quickly.  There are people that I thought would be lasting friendships that turned out not to be.  There are people who are still in my life but from a great distance.  To all of those people, thank you.  You have helped me learn things at different points in my life, learn something about myself that I needed to learn at that moment, gave me something that I needed in my life, gave me a sense of peacefulness.  I am sad that the friendships and relationships won't turn out to be lifetimes but I thank you for helping me to become a better person.  To learn something about myself or my purpose.

I received an email tonight from a wonderful person who has always touched my heart like no one else.  He remembers every birthday of those in my family and my wedding anniversary.  He has seen me hit rock bottom and fly back up to great heights.  He is an amazing person that has a heart like no one I have ever met before.  While our relationship is not a daily relationship, and hasn't been for many years, he is still someone I cherish...even if it is only to talk thru email a couple of times a year.

To my seasons and reasons, thank you for helping shape my life and lead me down unexpected roads.  I hope that I was able to touch your lives as you have touched mine.
